          Also, you may wish to check out the top three thermal baths in addition to Szechenyi Bath: Gellert Spa, Rudas Baths and Lukacs Baths are normally less busy in the holiday season and may offer a more relaxed atmosphere. Rudas Bath offers a combined Bath & Lunch experience (without leaving the baths, inside there is a nice Bistro style restaurant available to use in bath robes).

    Hi – we are trying to book in advance for our holiday 2-5January 2024
    We don’t seem to be able to book the spa for a date on 3rd or 4th Jan 24 – would be grateful for info as to whether the spa is open and when we can book family tickets.
    We’d prefer to book in advance as it’s the highlight of the holiday.

    Hi, I’m interested in learning more about booking a couple’s massage (60′) with a private thermal bath for the 26th of november if its possible. I’m also not sure I understand what you mean with check-in 9-5 PM. Does it mean we have to check in at 9 AM or we can check in anytime until 5 PM? If so, how many hours can we stay there?       Bath Kit packages are currently not available on our website.
      We recommend bringing your own towels, as rental services are suspended since the Covid pandemic.
      You can purchase a towel on the spot: the fluffy towel makes a nice gift and serves as a keepsake towel embroidered with the Szechenyi Bath logo for HUF 6,000.
      Alternatively, you can purchase a disposable towel at a fraction of the cost. For environmental reasons, as part of green tourism, we kindly ask you to consider bringing your own lightweight towel. Microfibre towels are reusable, super absorbing and ultra lightweight, suitable for carrying around the city.

        The baths will be open during the Sziget Festival week. From the previous year’s experiences, the baths will be crowded.
        Tickets will be available exclusively upon arrival from Aug 8th to Aug 17th to avoid guests standing there with pre-booked tickets and unable to check in (in case the baths get full entering is on a 1in -1 out basis).Waiting time can take up to 30-60 minutes.

    Is it true that the Budepest Card gets me a 20% discount? If yes, does that mean I need to purchase the ticket when I arrive at the batch? Or can I still apply the 20% discount when purchasing an online ticket? I will be visiting in mid-July so it is peak season.

        The baths will be open during Easter but online tickets are not available from Apr 7 to Apr 11.
        From the previous year’s experiences, the baths will be crowded, therefore no pre-booked bookings are accepted.
        Tickets/ treatments will be available exclusively upon arrival to avoid guests standing there with pre-booked tickets and unable to check in (in case the baths get full entering is on a 1in -1 out basis).
        Waiting time can take up to 30-60 minutes.

      During the Easter holiday, no online pre-booked tickets are accepted.
      Tickets will be available upon arrival (exclusively). Please note that holiday weekends are generally busy, therefore the waiting time can take up to 30min or 1h.

      The booing calendar for May will be opened in the next few days.
      Weekends: the spa opens at 9am, you might book online later this week.
      Weekdays:
      Online ticket holders are allowed from 9 am while the baths open at 7 am on weekdays. If you wish to arrive before 9 am we recommend you buy your tickets on the spot.

      Thank you for your inquiry about your bath visit.
      The online ticket sale has stopped for the festive season, tickets are only available upon arrival.
      The bathhouses are expected to be very busy therefore the waiting time can take longer than usual.
      We recommend the arrival as early as possible (the bath opens at 7am).

      If your trip is not confirmed we recommend you pre-book your tickets just a few days before the planned bath visit date. Tickets for Szechenyi and for Gellert Baths are sold separately. It is possible to buy entries upon arrival, however we recommend the online tickets so that you can get checked in faster. Have a lovely stay in Hungary!

      Thank you for contacting us.
      As a US citizen your vaccination certificate has probably been issued by the US.
      Currently, Hungary has no bilateral agreement about the mutual acceptance of Covid passports between the two countries, so at this moment the American certificate / passport would not be sufficient to visit the baths in Budapest. The situation keeps changing with newer and newer countries added to the list of accepted Covid passports by the HU government.

      In all probability, such mutual agreements will come at some point during the year of 2021 (or 2022, hard to predict).

        Kindly note that from July 3rd, 2021 there is no need for corona virus vaccination / Covid passports to visit the baths in Budapest (the Hungarian government decided to allow more relaxed rules once the country has reached the threshold of 5.5 million vaccinated citizens, which has happened, hence the recent change)
